

School Curriculum
There are six key learning areas (KLA's) in the Primary School Curriculum.
These are:

English
The focus is on Talking and Listening, Reading and Writing. 9am to 11am Monday to Thursday is devoted to literacy time.

Mathematics
The strands are: Number, Space, Measurement and Working Mathematics.

Science and Technology
The strands are: Built Environment, Information and Communications, Living Things, Physical Phenomena, Products and Services, and Earth and its Surrounds. These are addressed using the skills of investigation, designing, making and using technology.

Human Society and Its Environment
Students develop values and attitudes, skills and knowledge and understanding in the strands: Change and Continuity, Environments, Social Systems and Structures.

Creative Arts
The focus is on Visual Arts, Music, Drama and Dance to increase student understanding and accomplishment.

Personal Development / Health / Physical Education
This covers topics in the strands: Safe Living, Active Lifestyle, Gymnastics, Growth and Development, Personal Health Choices and Interpersonal Relationships.
